The Synthetic Biomimetic Compartments Group is working towards building a cell from the bottom up, using synthetic materials — combining block copolymers, complex coacervates, water-in-oil droplet networks, DNA nanotechnology, and single-molecule fluorescence microscopy.
Below is a snapshot of what we’re working on, who makes it possible, and who’s doing the work.
Our projects are driven by a mix of PhD, Honours, and undergraduate research students.
